The Mustard Seed

This project entailed the strategic development of a series of posters for internal and external print materials for The Mustard Seed while completing my final-year practicum with the non-profit organization. The deliverables included 11x17 posters for volunteer appreciation events, 8.5x11 posters for support events for the clients of the organization, and a variety of print materials for the development of a new housing location for members of the local community.
To achieve a cohesive look and feel, the approach incorporated strict adherence to the organization’s existing brand guidelines. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining brand consistency and utilizing both existing and newly created assets to ensure alignment with the organization’s vision.
One of the main challenges was working from the design briefs provided by various external department members within the organization and translating their ideas into reality. This was addressed through open communication, multiple iterations of designs, and seeking guidance from senior designers when non-design team members requested elements that did not align with the organization’s brand guidelines.
The completed project resulted in multiple designs that effectively communicated information to a diverse audience served by the non-profit while maintaining the organization’s cohesive visual identity. The final assets were designed to ensure clear and concise information delivery.
